The InsideOutside Dance Code of Conduct is made between

and InsideOutside Dance.

InsideOutside Dance (IOD) works with children, teens, and adults with disability, providing opportunities to learn, enjoy friendship and provide fun all within an environment of inclusiveness and diversity, whilst being committed to the respect, dignity, and the safety of others.

The InsideOutside Social Dance/Disco is not a ‘disability support service’ but a fun, social event for young people with a disability to attend to enjoy the community and company of others at an age-appropriate event. This event seeks to offer opportunities for attendees to build new friendships in a safe, happy, and meaningful way. The InsideOutside Social Dance/Disco has been created for young people who genuinely seek the opportunity to have fun and participate with respect and maturity towards others and for themselves which ensures that these events are a success for all.

Whilst this event is being run by InsideOutside, it is not a supervised event. Attendees are allowed to come and go as they like. If the attendee is not completely independent, they will require a support worker, parent or carer to attend with them whilst at the event.

The InsideOutside Team in attendance are not trained in behavioral management or conflict resolution strategies nor be expected to do so. The IO Team will offer participants positive encouragement to soothe any first-time nerves and offer fun guidance with “ice-breakers” to help everyone feel included. The team are also not responsible for any relationships between people in attendance of an emotional or physical nature.

The aim of this email is to provide a clear awareness, understanding and information to all attendees, their parents/carers and the wider community to establish an agreement regarding the behavioral and independent expectations to attend an InsideOutside Social Dance/Disco. This will achieve a successful and happy event for all. This event will require participants to have a suitable level of understanding regarding appropriate social manners and protocol.  It is also necessary to possess a genuine respect and consideration towards other patrons who may be different.

InsideOutside is not liable for an attendees conduct or behavior at the event. In attending, all attendees agree to adhere to company Values of Integrity, Cooperation, Empathy, Respect and Excellence. They do this by showing these values of themselves and to others. We are all about inclusivity for all.

Please note, this event will be high energy in nature and will have loud music and lights, no strobe lighting will be used.

We do not tolerate bullying or any aggressive antisocial behavior - This event is not suitable for people who have aggressive tendencies or a proneness to become overwhelmed and act inappropriately to overstimulation.

Your commitment when attending this event, and any InsideOutside event, is to always uphold these values and behaviours.
